Ed Hill has been taking pictures for more than 40 years. His first camera was a Voigtländer bought while stationed with the Army in Germany. It didn’t take long for him to get away from standard snapshots. He soon became fascinated with special perspectives of ordinary things, buildings, flowers, cars, landscapes, etc.
As his skills changed, so did his cameras. It wasn’t long before he was using high-end cameras that had wonderfully sharp lenses and precision movements. Of course, in those days, he couldn’t afford these things new, so he bought a lot of used cameras and lenses which he then traded for other used photo equipment. At one point, he had a complete darkroom capable of processing black and white and color film and photos.
In recent years, Ed Hill has taken his knowledge and experience into the digital world. Right now, his camera of choice is from Olympus, primarily because of their quality and sharp lenses.
He is also on the lookout for new hints, tips and tricks to improve his photographic skills. He’s pretty excited about all the new things he’ll learn from this blog!
Bring it on!
